Obinwanne Mbaise Minnesota is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded on the belief that a little help can go a long way. We are an affiliate chapter of Mbaise USA Inc.

Our mission is to foster unity amongst Mbaise people and to help those in need. From food and medical care, to education and women empowerment, our organization seeks to generate and provide the necessary resources and support that every child, adult and community deserves, in Mbaise and the world at large.

Mbaise - an Overview

Located in the heartland of Imo State, Nigeria in West Africa, stands Mbaise. The primary language is Igbo (or "Ibo"). The name "Mbaise" means "five towns". It is indeed made up of 5 towns (Agbaja, Ahiara, Ekwerazu, Ezinihitte and Oke-Uvuru) grouped into three counties/local government areas (LGAs) - Aboh, Ahiazu and Ezinihitte. Mbaise culture is rich. They are well known for their music, "Abigbo" dance, and cultural festivities such as "Iri ji" Mbaise (New yam Festival).
